A village resort steeped in tradition at an altitude of 1600 metres, Saint Sorlin d'Arves offers a wide range of accommodation, unspoilt panoramas and a multitude of après-ski activities and entertainment. At the foot of the Col de la Croix de Fer, the resort has 2 ski school gondolas and direct access to the highest point of the Sybelles® ski area (2620m). With its long, wide slopes, Sorlin d'Arves is a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity.

Introduction

On the Saint Sorlin d'Arves side, the Sybelles® ski area offers 41 runs with a vertical drop of 1000m. The Saint Sorlin side of the ski area appeals for its diversity and accessibility for beginners, as well as for its high-altitude atmosphere in the 3 Lacs sector. You'll be delighted by the 360° panoramic views of the Alps. There are also 3 freeride runs and a snowpark.

To make it easier to use the equipment and to improve traffic flow in the beginners' area of Saint Sorlin d'Arves, where there are links between ski lifts, the Bobby carpet (no. 23 on the piste map, under the Beausoleil chalet, next to the ESF centre-station meeting point) has been extended.

Take the Panoramic slope, a 4.6km descent from l'Ouillon and then the road over the Col de la Croix de Fer to the village with its breathtaking views of the Meije, the valley and the Aiguilles d'Arves.

How to get to Saint-Sorlin d'Arves ski resort

Saint-Sorlin d’Arves is accessible by various means of transport, making it a convenient destination for holidaymakers. By car, the resort is easily reached from the A43 motorway, taking the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne exit and then following the D926 towards the Arvan valley. The roads are well maintained, but it is advisable to equip your vehicle with snow tyres or chains in winter.

For those who prefer to travel by train, the nearest station is Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, which is served by TGV and regional trains from major cities such as Paris, Lyon and Grenoble. From the station, shuttles and buses are available to take you to the ski resort in around 45 minutes, offering a practical and environmentally-friendly solution.

The nearest airports are Lyon-Saint Exupéry and Chambéry. From these airports, transfer services are available to take you directly to Saint-Sorlin d’Arves.
