Be it at the market, in the shops, as an aperitif or in one of the many restaurants in the village, let yourself be tempted by a piece of Beaufort des Arves, winner of several gold medals at the Salon International de l’Agriculture, a bit of sausage from the butcher’s shop or some honey or herbal teas produced in the valley.

Artisanal skills and traditions are honoured throughout the summer with events such as the village festival, the sheep festival, the Prés Plans festival, etc. Dances in period costume, old-fashioned cheese-making and other activities typical of our mountains are all on the agenda!
At the foot of the Col de la Croix de Fer and with a 39km² playground in the heart of nature, sport and the environment are also given pride of place.

Throughout the summer, themed weeks are organised around animals, astronomy, outdoor sports, nature and biodiversity… Not forgetting the ascent of the pass during various cyclosportive events.

How to get to Saint-Sorlin d'Arves

Saint-Sorlin d’Arves is easily accessible by car, train or plane. By car, follow the A43 motorway to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, then take the D926 towards Saint-Sorlin d’Arves. If you prefer to travel by train, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne station is served by TGV trains from Paris, Lyon and other major French cities. From there, shuttles and buses will take you to the village. The nearest airports are Lyon-Saint-Exupéry and Geneva, with transfer services available to Saint-Sorlin d’Arves.
