Les Sybelles, the famous ski area of Savoie, is also a showcase of alpine culture and traditions, where terroir, farms and local crafts play a central role in the visitor experience. Beyond the ski slopes, this region offers an authentic immersion in the Savoyard heritage, inviting you to discover local flavors, artisanal know-how and mountain agriculture.

Discover the alpine farms of Les Sybelles

One of the unmissable activities in Les Sybelles is visiting the alpine farms. These excursions allow to meet the farmers and breeders who perpetuate the traditional methods of breeding. Visitors can witness the milking of cows and the making of cheeses emblematic of the region, such as the Beaufort, learning the secrets of their ripening. These visits are often crowned by tastings, offering a real taste experience of local products.

Local crafts are also a pillar of the Sybelles culture. Confectioner at Le Corbier, Dairy Cooperative in Saint Sorlin d’Arves (with a visit to the maturing cellars), leather workshop, infusions and honey shop in Saint Jean d’Arves…

Local markets, immersion in the heart of the terroir

Local markets are another aspect of life in Les Sybelles not to be missed. They bring together local producers and artisans, offering a profusion of fresh products, cheeses, cold cuts, honeys, jams and crafts. Strolling in these markets is an ideal way to immerse yourself in the local life, to exchange with the inhabitants and to support the economy of the region.

Events for all

The Sybelles regularly organize events and festivals celebrating the land and traditions, such as village festivals, demonstrations of ancient know-how and community meals. These moments of conviviality allow to live fully the alpine experience, in what makes the soul of the Sybelles: a territory rich in its history, its landscapes and its men.
Between skiing and heritage discovery, activities around the land, farms and crafts in Les Sybelles offer an additional dimension to the visit of this area, revealing the beauty and depth of Savoyard culture.
